"RUAHA SAFARI RESORT"

Overlooking the majestic Ruaha River, our new luxury resort in Tanzania is conceived as a destination where architecture and landscape flow together in harmony. Inspired by the river’s winding bends and aerial views of the territory, organic forms shape the curved walls of the guest rooms and clubhouse, as well as the soft, fluid lines of the flat curvilinear roofs. The resort’s villas: single, double, or three-bedroom, are all oriented to capture the openness of the surrounding wilderness, offering uninterrupted views of nature. Each villa is equipped with a private pool, allowing guests to enjoy the riverfront landscape in complete privacy. Some villas reinterpret the traditional Masai round house, blending heritage and innovation. At the heart of the resort, the clubhouse houses the reception and restaurant areas, conceived as open spaces where the gaze extends towards the horizon in every direction. The material palette is deeply rooted in place: solid local timber, hand-assembled sticks, and pigmented cement in the warm tones of the native soil. Interiors are enriched with handcrafted mosaics, bespoke furniture designed by FABRIC and produced by a local carpenter, and a mix of technical and ethnic accent lighting. More than a retreat, the resort is a celebration of Tanzania’s landscapes, traditions, and communities.
